Tigray Codes offered computer coding training for secondary and preparatory students

Tigray Codes offered computer coding training for secondary and preparatory students for two weeks in collaboration with Tigray Science and Technology Bureau and Aksum University.

10th grade student Milkana Adisu said “The training supported our efforts to capacitate ourselves with basics of computer skills that goes in line with the current trends in the digital world.”
Coordinator of the training Instructor Goiteom Mekonen said that the training focused on coding and life skill enhancement. He added “In the 21st century Tigray Codes advocates computer technologist generation”.
Danait Yemane, Expert in Tigray Science and Technology Bureau Research Department and Instructor in Tigray Codes explained the training as it helps students to develop self-learning in computer coding.
“It helps students experience independent problem solving” said Leake Zegeye, (Asst. Prof.) Head, MIT Industry Linkage and Instructor in Tigray Codes.
Dr. Hassen Ibrahim, Head, AKU Shire Campus, on his part stated that such capacity building engagements helps to create technology aspiring youths and fills the gaps observed in curriculum’s related to computer literacy.
