  • The Role of Continuing and Distance Education Program Directorate (CDEPD) of Aksum University:
  • Coordinating the teaching-learning process of CDEPs,
  • Assessing the proper implementation of the CDEPs across all academic units, and
  • Coordinating academic units in launching of new programs with high demand.
  • Producing competent graduates,
  • Expanding access to quality educational opportunities and increasing students’ intake capacity,
  • Working to have increased competent academic staffs with MSc/MA and PhD.

  • Supervising the process of appointment of instructors for CEP,
  • Handling files, statistics and records related to CDE activities and to students.
  • Implementing the evaluation system to CEP instructors to identify:
  • Areas of weaknesses,
  •  causes of delay, and,
  •  Causes for the dissatisfaction of both students and teachers and implement the solutions in consultation with the management bodies.
  • Striving to find and implement new ways to accomplish the works of CEP, advocate for changes to enhance the working environment, and take corrective measures for problems during implementation of the plan.
