The Ethiopian Ministry of Finance is currently providing intensive training on the Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) to administrative staff and executives of Aksum University. The training is a strategic effort to modernize the university’s financial systems and facilitate a complete transition from manual, paper-based processes to digital governance.

The comprehensive training program is targeting key administrative and executive personnel, specifically including teams from:

* Budget

*Procurement

* Asset Management

*Audit

*Human Resources & Competency

*ICT

University President Professor Gebreyesus Berhane and other senior university officials are personally attending and monitoring the sessions to observe the training delivery and progress firsthand.

IFMIS is a modern, integrated digital system designed to streamline and automate public financial management processes. Its implementation is a national priority aimed at significantly enhancing transparency, efficiency, and accountability in the use of public resources. This shift from traditional ledger and paper-based accounting to IFMIS represents a crucial step toward digital governance within Ethiopia’s public institutions.
