Aksum, Ethiopia –October 22, 2025 (G.C) Aksum University has officially inaugurated a Master Class Training Orientation program, a significant initiative undertaken in strategic partnership with Arizona State University (ASU).
The orientation was formally commenced with an opening address delivered by Dr. Mohammed Ahmed, Director of the E-Learning Directorate. The program represents a cornerstone of the university’s ongoing commitment to pedagogical advancement and academic excellence.
This intensive training module is designed as a comprehensive capacity-building initiative for faculty members, with a targeted focus on enhancing instructional methodologies. The program anticipates the participation of 200 academics from across Aksum University’s various campuses.
Scheduled to run consecutively for a two-week period, the curriculum is structured to maximize professional development within a condensed timeframe. University officials have emphatically encouraged all participating faculty to engage fully with the program to optimize its benefits and become proficient end-users of the new skills and knowledge imparted.
This session marks the ninth iteration of the training series. It was disclosed that the program has already successfully equipped 689 educators with advanced instructional competencies in previous cycles, underscoring its established role in the university’s faculty development strategy.
