On 25, 2017, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has officially signed between Aksum University and the Institute of Mineral Industry Development at the Ministry of Mines, Addis Ababa. This MoU marks a strategic partnership aimed at fostering collaboration in the areas of mineral resource development, capacity building, and joint utilization of institutional resources.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Bisrat Kebede, General Director of the Institute of Mineral Industry Development. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials and department heads from the Institute, reflecting the significance and mutual commitment to the collaboration.

Representing Aksum University, Dr. Dawit Mamo, Head of Aksum University Shire Campus, and Mr. Bereket G/silassie, from the Faculty of Mines, participated in the event and reaffirmed the University’s dedication to promoting academic-industry linkages in the field of mineral sciences.

This MoU lays the foundation for long-term cooperation in research, training, technology exchange, and human resource development, contributing meaningfully to the advancement of Ethiopia’s mineral sector.

የሰነድ ስምምነት የፊርማ ሥነ ሥርዓት ተካሄደ ። 25/09/2017

በዛሬ ግንቦት 25 ቀን 2017 በኣኽሱም ዩኒቨርሲቲ እና በማዕድን ሚኒስቴር ሥር የሚገኘው የማዕድን ኢንዱስትሪ ልማት ኢንስቲትዩት (Institute of Mineral Industry Development) መካከል የስምምነት ሰነድ (MoU) ተፈራርሟል። ይህ ስምምነት በማዕድን ሀብት ልማት፣ አቅም ግንባታ እና ተቋማዊ ሀብቶችን በጋራ መጠቀም ዘርፎች ላይ ትብብር ለማበረታታት የታሰበ የስትራቴጂክ ትብብር የተደረገ ውል ነው።

ስምምነቱ በማዕድን ኢንዱስትሪ ልማት ኢንስቲትዩት አጠቃላይ ዳይሬክተር (General Director) የነበሩት ዶ/ር ብስራት ከበደ በኩል ተፈርሟል። የፊርማ ሥነ ሥርዓቱ በኢንስቲትዩቱ ከፍተኛ ባለሥልጣናት እና አለቆች እና የትምህርት ክፍል ሀላፊዎች ተገኝተው ነበር፣ ይህም ለትብብሩ ያለውን ተነሳሽነት እና የጋራ ቁርጠኝነት ያሳያል።

በኣኽሱም ዩኒቨርሲቲ በኩል የዩኒቨርሲቲው ሺረ ካምፓስ አስተባባሪ ዶ/ር ዳዊት ማሞ እና ከማዕድን ፋካሊቲ የመጡት አቶ በረከት ገ/ስላሴ በዝግጅቱ ተገኝተው በማዕድን ሳይንስ ዘርፍ የትምህርት-ኢንዱስትሪ ግንኙነትን ለማበረታታት የዩኒቨርሲቲውን ቁርጠኝነት አረጋግጠዋል።

ይህ ስምምነት በምርምር፣ ስልጠና፣ ቴክኖሎጂ ልውውጥ እና የሰው ኃይል ልማት ውስጥ ለረጅም ጊዜ ትብብር መሠረት ይተካል፣ ይህም ለኢትዮጵያ የማዕድን ዘርፍ እድገት ትርጉም ያለው አስተዋፅኦ ያደርጋል ተብለዋል።
