The College of Agriculture, located in Shire town, Northwestern Tigray, was established in 2006 GC with the objective to produce different agricultural professionals who can make significant contribution for the country’s intended goal of agricultural transformation. Currently, the College offers five undergraduate programs and three MSc programs. In addition to the already started programs, the college is doing its best to launch additional BSc and MSc programs in various fields of agriculture that can contribute much towards the high-level trained human resource requirement of the country. It is needless to say that availability of teaching and research facilities are crucial for the successful implementation of both undergraduate and graduate programs. To this end, the different departments under the college have in-campus and off-campus farms and research sites to make the teaching-learning practical oriented, and help staffs and students undertake their research works.
